Bigger and better than ever – our sizzling summer BBQ

chefs were cooking into the nightWell, we said it would be bigger and better than before. And our 2016 annual Beaucette Marina Summer BBQ was certainly that – and then some.

Fab food, great drinks and brilliant music; it was a real party. But for us, the best thing about our now famous summer sizzler is the company.

You make it what it is and it really was a pleasure to welcome so many of you to the marina’s main hospitality event of the season.

Filled to capacity

In all, we hosted more than 300 and the marina itself was filled to capacity as at least 20 extra boats came to the island specially to join in – or perhaps it was the prospect of Ricky on Karaoke after the live music finished that was the clincher!

As you can see from the pictures (thanks Andrew, great job) everyone really enjoyed themselves and it was a perfect evening while the Beaucette setting was, as ever, an absolute dream.

We have been asked how we cater apparently so effortlessly for so many and the secret’s simple. Planning and hard work by Team Beaucette – and some outstanding work on the grills by friends and neighbours who pitch in to make sure it’s a great, well fed event.

What about next year – 2017?

and the band played onSo, the big question is, will there be another BBQ next summer?

You bet, and we’re looking forward to it already and hope you are as well.

Not only that, we’re actually planning to hold three special events in 2017 as our campervan site will be open for its first full year so it really is a case of watch this space for news and updates.
